Study of the Mass Center Motion of the Left Ventricle Area in Echocardiographic Videos

چکیده
The study of the mass center (CM) motion of the left ventricle (LV) area in echocardiographic videos is presented. CM of any phase of the cardiac cycle is inside an ellipse. An area of the ellipse is not more than 2% of the area of LV in systole. The criterion to identify correct and incorrect forms of contours are proposed for automatic contouring of LV in the frames of a video sequence.

Echocardiographic Assessment of Left Ventricle Torsion by Tissue Doppler and Velocity Vector Imaging
Introduction Left ventricular (LV) twist is believed to store potential energy and plays an important role in generating diastolic suction. Recent advances in echocardiography techniques have allowed quantification of LV twist. The aim of the present study was to compare LV twist and torsion in healthy human subjects determined by velocity vector imaging (VVI) and tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) a...
متن کاملاثر PercutaneousCoronary Intervention Elective بر بهبودی نارسایی ایسکمیک میترال
Introdution: Ischemic mitral regurgitation (IMR) remains one of the most complex and unresolved aspects of ischemic heart disease that the impact of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on improvement of intensity of ischemic mitral regurgitation is not well clarified. Patients with coronary artery diseases and ischemic mitral regurgitation have a worse prognosis than the patients with coro...
متن کاملEvaluation of diastolic blood flow dynamic of the left ventricle in dogs with mitral valve regurgitation using vector flow mapping
Mitral valve regurgitation (MVR) is a common valvular disease in dogs. Hydrokinetic evaluation of the blood flow within the ventricles has become possible by vector flow mapping (VFM), which shows the blood flow within the ventricles in vector and vortex flows. Blood flow within the left ventricle of MVR dogs was compared at different stages of MVR and to that of normal dogs. 14 normal dogs and...
متن کاملComparison of Echocardiographic Abnormalities in Psoriasis Patients with the Control Group
Introduction: Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by plaques covered with silvery scales. Psoriasis is highly prevalent in different countries in the world, including Iran. Several studies have reported a significant association between psoriasis and cardiovascular diseases. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between psoriasis and cardiac disease using echo...
متن کاملیافتههای اختلال حرکت دیوارهای قلب در اکوکاردیوگرافی و ارزش لیدهای خلفی در تشخیص انفارکتوس میوکارد
Background: For the purpose of ascertaining myocardial infarction (MI) and ischemia, the sensitivity of the initial 12-lead ECG is inadequate. It is risky to diagnose posterior MI using only precordial reciprocal changes, since the other leads may be more optimally positioned for the identification of electrocardiographic changes. In this study, we evaluated the relationship between electrocard...
